NYT Series Precision Servo (**) and Step Thruster (PST), Moving Motor Slides (MMS) and External Leadscrew Slides (ELS) evolved as many of our Haydon customers desire an off-the-shelf means of testing and evaluating HaydonKerk based positioning systems. There are a myriad of commercially available slide and stage product lines featuring high performance, high accuracy, imported, linear bearing systems but few commercially available HaydonKerk actuator based PST (captive or non-captive), MMS (non-captive) or ELS (external) slides featuring simpler, cost affective plane bearing systems.
NYT Series Application Platforms, featuring off-the-shelf plug-in OEM drive/controllers evolved in a similar manner. Many of our HaydonKerk linear actuator customers struggled with inflexible, overly complex drive/controllers for prototypes and preproduction runs. NYT1X, 2X and 3X Application Platforms are designed for immediate use. With Nymotion supplied QuickStart programs, testing and development begins five minutes out-of-the-box.
NYT Series Application Platform Software Development followed on the same customer support learning curve. Simple, concise, multivendor NYT-AP instructions allow straight forward integration into National Instruments LabView, Visual Basic and C++ programs. Complexity is not a virtue ... it's a barrier. Start with something that is well documented and works well then evolve. The Windows AP Utility, fully supported by the NYT3X-AP (and a work-in-progress for the NYT1X and 2X-AP) provides a user friendly interface naming and teaching positions and setting up a multiaxis Cartesian workspace for inspection, pick & place and well plate autosampling.
Nymotion offers OEM and End-User (Factory and Lab-Automation) QuickStart Kits that include positioning slides, drive/controllers (servo or stepper), harnessing, man/machine interfaces and turn-key software development. As the motion control program source code is provided with the QS Kit, C++, VB or National Instruments LabView programmers can move quickly from a known starting point: A fully functional application.
