Precision Step Thrusters (PST17)

Pneumatic Shaft Guided Thrusters aka "Multiple Position" Linear Thrusters are a mainstay in the fluid power positioning market.  Nymotion's Precision Step Thrusters provide a wide range of constant thrust, travel, high resolution and repeatable devices.   

PST Series Thrusters are precision, shaft guided tooling plate slides.  The machined bearing body is fixed to a base, structural extrusion, another PST or pneumatic slide and the tooling plate (with attached load) is positioned by a non-captive step actuator.

NYT Positioning Slides are based on Haydon Linear Actuators, plane bearing carriages and precision ground 303 stainless shafting.  The target applications are high duty cycle (millions of strokes) maintenance-free automation applications.  Pick-and-place, dispensing, scanning and focus adjust.   

    • Greater repeatability.  +/- 1 to 5 microns (depending on lead and bearing selection.
    • Programmable motion control.
    • Constant velocity and constant force across the full stroke.
    • Long stroke Z (lift) applications.
  • PST Thruster Tooling Plates have multiple threaded and c-bored mounting options with precision slip fit dowels.
  • Custom mounting plates with Z axis mounts and turn-key drive/controller kits are available on request.
