- Nymotion "presale" support and
services can take 1 - 3 man-days and are provided on a no-charge
basis. Any drive/controller supplier can "move an axis"
using a canned demo routine. This said, there are few "canned"
applications that address a unique application. The
development tools must be in place, stable and reasonably easy
to use. A running problem in the motion control arena is that
one person's "easy-to-learn / easy-to-use"
development language and tools is another person's nightmare.
- Nymotion created a Windows application called
Nycom Tools for TMCL in 2003 and the package has been in use and under
constant refinement. The current version is Rev 4.3.
This package is offered free of charge to Nymotion (Trinamic
Module) customers. NT for TMCL can be loaded in minutes and
communicating with open loop or encoded single, multi axis or daisy
chained Trinamic modules. Exercise individual axis in a
Windows environment then begin multi axis, coordinate moves in the same
environment. Once you are satisfied, a single mouse click creates a
correctly formatted TMCL program with move and IO examples. This is
the ideal environment for a project engineer to quickly learn and
use Trinamic's TMCL programming language.
- Nycom Tools has another valuable tools called
"Cycle Test". Cycle Test uses the Coordinate
setup and exercise screen to implement a full featured R & D cycle
test routine. Test your 1 - 6 axis application in a
Windows environment. When you are pleased with the results, a
single click creates a full featured TMCL program
that cut-n-pastes into Trinamic's Integrated Development Environment
for assembly, download and operation on a stand-alone basis. Here
again, this more advanced program provides a wealth of live sample code
used for cycle testing but just as importantly for project engineer
training by example.
- Many OEM and Factory Automation applications
can be satisfied with no-charge, Nymotion presale support, Nycom
Tools, phone and internet support sessions. For more rigorous
applications, Nymotion offers contract TMCL and C++ Windows and Embedded
CPU programming.

- The product
evolved from fairly simple NYT343 and NYT342 carrier boards with OEM (motor,
encoder, limit and IO) headers, optical isolation and analog signal
conditioning to full featured application rich “NYT-AP” versions.

NYT3X-343 and NYT3X-342 designs feature an embedded (C++ programmed) CPU with
turn-key NYT-AP autosampler, microscopy and vision applications.
